She didn’t want her to lack behind, and she feared that if one day she passed away, then who would look after her, and how would she survive on her own? Even though her mother’s methods were wrong but in the end, she loved her more than anyone in the world.

The chapter was nicely written by Nakamaru Rikito. Seeing Rentarou taking a stand for Shizuka reached my heart. The resolve to meet Sakura’s mother was the right one, after all. Rentarou bravely confessed his feeling for Shizuka right in front of his mother. In the end, all went back to normal. Shizuka and her mother once again started talking to each other, and her mother also gave her phone back. And last, Shizuka finally kissed Rentarou as a way to thank him for the previous day. Now let’s see how the story will go from here.

Thinking of Shizuka, Rentarou resolves to meet with her mother. They all sat to discuss the matter. Rentarou starts the conversation by introducing him to Shizuka’s mother. Shizuka’s mother mentioned that Shizuka never carried anything besides her books, she didn’t expect her to use text-to-speech, but now she realized the one to put the idea to use text-to-speech was him.

She warned Retarou to never come near her. She questioned Rentarou that have he had ever seen an adult member of society talking with text-to-speech, She also questioned by saying he must have seen one if he thought he saved Shizuka.

In the next panel, we saw Shizuka’s mom beating her when she was a child. She thought that she had spoiled her too much, which caused her to speak properly. Her mother was worried for her; she thought that she would lack behind everyone as she didn’t speak properly. The story now changes to the present time. Shizuka’s mother asked Rentarou if he thought that she would be able to live without suffering in the future. He countered and said Shizuka-chan is suffering Right Now, and he only wanted to make sure Shizuka don’t suffer for another day in her whole life.

Hearing this from Rentarou, Shizuka’s mom said that he didn’t know how the world works, and he doesn’t know a single thing about the world. She also stated that once he graduated and knows how big the world he will find different types of girls with good qualities, so there is no reason for him to be with Shizuka. She was concerned for Shizuka that one day he will leave her alone.

Rentarou shouted, saying HE WILL LOVE HER THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, and he knew everything about Shizuka. He said it doesn’t matter to him how Shizuka speaks, he loves her because of who she is and she doesn’t have to be like everybody else. He asked Shizuka’s mother what made her think that she wanted to be like others and that she was the one to force all this responsibility onto her.

As Shizuka stammers, she said she loves Rentarou, she likes to read books, and she is happy to be alive. Hearing this made her mother emotional, and she thinks that Rentarou is right. She told Rentarou to leave while keeping her hand down. The next morning Shizuka and her mother had a conversation while they were having breakfast; Shizuka used text-to-speech while she was talking to her mother. Her mother cried as she got to know how Shizuka speaks. After that, she meets with Rentarou. The chapter ended with Shizuka kissing Rentarou.
