After nearly two years of legal proceedings, singer, dancer, and actress Teyana Taylor has officially finalized her divorce from former NBA star Iman Shumpert.
The multimillion-dollar settlement reflects the couple’s high-profile marriage and individual successes in the worlds of sports and entertainment.
Real Estate Holdings: Over $10 Million in Properties Awarded to Taylor
As part of the settlement, Taylor will receive four properties valued at over $10 million. Although not all locations have been disclosed, the known properties include:
The couple’s Alpharetta, GA mansion, which was heavily featured in their reality series “We Got Love.” Taylor had personally overseen renovations to the home to reflect her artistic vision, inspired by her love for movies, art, and cartoons.
Three additional properties remain unnamed but contribute significantly to the total $10+ million valuation.
Meanwhile, Shumpert will retain:
- His South Fulton, GA property, purchased in 2015 for $427,000
- His Miami condo, also kept in his name
This division secures Taylor a major portion of their shared real estate portfolio while allowing Shumpert to maintain his personal holdings.

Taylor’s settlement also includes a collection of luxury vehicles and a tour bus designed to support her career and lifestyle:
- A $300,000 Maybach
- A $70,000 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
A fully equipped tour bus, which could be used for future touring or business ventures
Seven-Figure Cash Payout and Child Support
In addition to the properties and vehicles, Shumpert will pay Taylor a seven-figure cash settlement, providing her with immediate financial liquidity post-divorce.
The court also ordered Shumpert to:
- Pay $8,000 per month in child support
- Cover the full cost of private school tuition for their daughters Junie (9) and Rue Rose (4)
The structured child support and educational expenses reflect the couple’s commitment to ensuring stability and premium opportunities for their children.
Business Ventures Remain Solely Under Taylor’s Control
Taylor successfully retained full ownership of her multiple business ventures, allowing her to maintain control over her growing entrepreneurial empire. These include:
- Fade2Fit, her fitness brand and workout platform
- Her choreography center
- Ongoing fashion brand partnerships
Taylor’s ability to keep these assets positions her for continued growth in the fitness, fashion, and entertainment industries.

Separation Details: Career Jealousy and an Amicable Split
According to reports, the split was driven not by infidelity, but by Shumpert’s struggle with Taylor’s rising success in entertainment. Sources allege that he felt overshadowed and insecure as Taylor’s career flourished, leading to tension and frequent arguments.
Despite Taylor’s efforts to put family first—even turning down career opportunities—Shumpert reportedly grew frustrated with financial pressures and their shifting dynamic.
Taylor ultimately filed for divorce in 2023, citing that their marriage was “irretrievably broken”. She later clarified via Instagram that cheating was not a factor, emphasizing their continued friendship and co-parenting partnership:
“In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while. To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners, and one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful children.”
