In the previous chapter of Terminally-Ill Genius Dark Knight, Carl dies three days after Nox selects him and brings him up to his room. Rona, who had been taking care of Carl for the past few days, was heartbroken due to Carl’s death. Nox tells Rona to move aside and takes out a suspicious scroll. Nox plans on reviving Carl, and he requires mana to accomplish his plan. Rona reminds Nox that using mana before the age of 15 is illegal since only the Imperial children are allowed to do so.
