Ten Years Later, I Married My Nemesis follows the story of two childhood friends. One of them is Su Qian, a freshman at Ming Se University. Her childhood friend is Han Shen. The story mainly follows Su Qian’s life, and she is also the narrator.
Su Qian thought that they would maintain this mutual dislike for each other forever. But things changed after Han Shen got struck by lightning. Han Shen and his memories all got messed up. This brought a sudden change, and Su Qian was so used to how things were before that she did not know what to do.
Su Qian has had a weak body since she was a child. Running around with friends, laughing, and playing were not things she was familiar with. The doctors told her that as long as she endured the winter of her eighth year, she would get better. But Su Qian was never a very optimistic person.
Su Qian and Han Shen’s parents are friends, so Su Qian has known him for as long as she can remember. Thanks to him, Su Qian had a fun and fulfilling childhood. After he pulled Su Qian’s braids for the 1000th time, she made a wish that when they grew up, she would be stronger than him so that she could finally teach him a lesson.
As if fate had pulled a prank on them, they got stuck with each other for their entire lives. From kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school to high school. To their freshmen year of university. It looks like they will end up together for life, as Han Shen claims to have been married to Su Qian.
Recap
In the previous chapter of Ten Years Later, I Married My Nemesis, that is, Chapter 42, we saw that Han Shen and Su Qian had gotten into an argument, and this time, it does not look like Han Shen is in any mood to apologize first. Things get awkward, so Su Qian decides to break the ice.
Su Qian knows that she is screwed. After all, it was Han Shen talking nonsense that made Su Qian so nervous. Putting on a look of being abandoned, it seemed like he liked Su Qian, but she could not say it out loud as that would make her sound very selfish.
Han Shen thought that they would get married. Unlike Han Shen’s family, Su Qian had been vaccinated since she was a child. For ten years, she always held such awareness and had made all the preparations. And the result was her getting rejected for marriage in the end. Su Qian felt like her world was collapsing.
We then saw that after three days of game time, they had finished their mission and bid farewell to the island. Su Qian did not really expect Han Shen to choose to go back and usurp the throne in the end. Han Shen tells her to solve the person who raised the problem if she can not solve the problem.
