The ultimate test of relationships, Temptation Island: Love or Leave returns with a new episode this week. With some of the couples already feeling insecure about their partners, there’s no saying what kind of drama is in store for both villas.
Airing on television since 2020, Love or Leave is the adaptation of the popular US dating show by the Netherlands. It follows a similar format to the original series, although new twists and challenges are seen in Love or Leave with each season that may not necessarily be in the US version. The hosts for this show are Kaj Gorgels and Monica Geuze, both of whom are popular TV hosts from the Netherlands. The airing of the dating show is solely taken up by Videoland.
The concept of Temptation Island was brought to the Netherlands in 2018, with the VIP version, hosted by Kaj and Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau. Its popularity led to the release of new seasons each year, with the latest season 4 of Love or Leave airing since March 30th, 2023. With 4 or more couples being sent to live with people of the opposite gender, the reality show tests their relationship and the trust they have in each other.
This season the creators decided to add extra spice by letting one of the couples meet up with the singles beforehand, just so they know what kind of people their significant other will be living with. By the end of the show, the couple’s asked if their relationship lasted through the tormenting challenge. If the relationship does happen to be strong enough, the couples are engaged on the show.

As seen in most of the previous seasons a total of 4 couples are brought into the game, and they are made to split and sent off to two different villas. The men are sent to the villa filled with attractive women, while the women are sent to another villa that houses attractive men. This time, the filming for Love or Leave took place in Mexico. The couple’s this season are Evie & Mike, Mitch & Iris, Miriam & Lester, and finally, Joel & Shanta.

Evie and Mike have been on Love or Leave previously, and they ended up finding love within each other rather than with one of the couples. They return this season to test if their relationship of two years will last yet another trial. As for Mitch and Iris, they’ve stuck to each other’s side for three years, and have a house and pets they own together. As strong as their love seems, they’re on the show to see if they really would be able to resist the attractive people in the villas.

Temptation Island Love Or Leave Season 4 Episode 5: Recap
The show begins with the couples separating and being sent off to their respective villas. They aren’t usually allowed to see the singles beforehand, but this season will be an exception. Now after the couples have been in the house for quite a while, Mitch has been having a hard time dealing with the thought of losing Iris to the men in the game.
Though they understand each other the most, they’ve had problems related to intimacy in their relationship, and knowing there are many experienced men in the singles puts him in a constant state of worry. He was recently shown images of the other house, which was the reason his anxiety increased even further. Now that he was able to face the thought of not being with Iris, he hopes he can get another chance at their relationship.

Love Or Leave Season 4 Episode 6 will be released on April 27th, 2023. New episodes of Temptation Island Love or Leave are aired on Thursdays, with each episode having a run time of 49-52 minutes.
