The first episode of Tearmoon Empire introduces us to Mia, a princess who lives in a less-than-ideal city. She presents as upset and confides in someone about her issues.

Mia resides in the Tearmoon Empire as a princess. But her house isn’t as luxurious as you may think. When Mialuna Dear Moon arrives with some supper, she laments the poor weather.

They decide to eat dinner together even though Mia is not pleased with the way it smells. Mia says she doesn’t like Otsuki tomatoes during supper. She appears to be eating her final supper, but she doesn’t want to pass away.
