The release date of Episode 12 of the second season is just around the corner. The wait for the fans of this K-drama will be over in a few days with the announcement of the new episode. The South Korean crime-thriller drama directed by Park Joon-woo returned with a bang on 17th February 2023, with its second season on SBS Network and Netflix. The second season of the series was warmly welcomed by the fans after the success of the first season, released in 2021.
The series, adapted from a known webtoon, ‘The Deluxe Taxi’, created by Carlos and Keukeu Jae Jin, follows an intelligent and well-developed plot. The show is full of events inspired by real-life heinous crimes that take place in South Korea regularly. It is power-packed with an enthralling action sequence and has gained the highest viewership across the country.
Reprising in their roles are known names of the Korean industry- Lee Jo Hoong as Kim Do-Gi, former Special Mission Group, Jang Hyuk Jin as Choi Kyung-goo, lead mechanic Pyo Ye Jin as Ahn Go-eun, a skilled hacker, and Kim Eui Sung as Jang Sung-chul, C.E.O of the taxi service.
The plot of the show follows a group of vigilantes who work under cover of a “Rainbow Taxi Service” but don’t go by the name of the service as under the name operator and the crew of the service take the law in their hand and serve justice to the one’s wronged by the system. The service works under a special “Revenge Call,” where they take in a client who wishes to use their service and exact revenge their revenge for them.
Most dramas are just black and white, but this drama has a grey part which is somewhere between right and wrong. The group reunites by the end of the first season, even after their fight and disagreements. The group continues to operate in Vietnam, as seen in the opening scene of the second season. The latest version brings out new cases, better rivals, and dangerous criminals.
Taxi Driver Season 2 Episode 11- Recap
The episode begins with Ha-Na questioning Chul-Young, a serial killer who expresses no remorse for his past actions. In the last episode, the audience witnessed Do-Gi’s car getting bombed. Thus, the audience witnessed Kim Do Ki’s funeral procession commencing with the teammates expressing their sorrow for the loss of their friend and teammate.
The only person not mourning the death of Kim Do Gi is Ha Joon. He is smiling throughout the procession. He has unknowingly become a part of the bigger game played with him. Ha-Joon rejoices in his achievement of eliminating Kim Do Gi, after which he resigns from his position as a driver from the company. It is soon revealed to him how he has been deceived all along, and Dong Ki has been alive.
The episode also witnesses the team taking up the new case of the disappearance of Pastor Ko’s son, who was spirited away by Chairman Baek’s goons. There is no information available about what happened with the pastor’s son. Ha-Na takes the legal approach, while Do Ki takes the approach of intimidating the Chairman’s goon. The episode ends with Woo-Sub trying to get the information about the boy out of Goo, who ends up revealing what he has done to the pastor’s son.
Taxi Driver Season 2- Episode 12 Preview
Goo is arrested for murdering Mr.Wang, and he laughs at the prosecutor’s office, showing no remorse for his actions. Goo tests Ha Na’s patience during the investigation by laughing to the point Ha Na snaps. Goo is released due to a lack of evidence, and Ha Na is assigned a new case.
Ha Na gets desperate to see Goo punished as she is on her way to Wang’s funeral. Do-Ki promises Ha Na to exact revenge on Goo on her behalf. During their investigation, it is revealed Namsan Industries is chummy with Baek’s company, and they buy large quantities of sulphuric acid from them.
Ha-Na soon finds out that Namsan is just a paper company for Baek’s bigger business ventures. The episode ends with Baek pretending to side with the team only to reveal her truth about working with the brothers all along.
