So, Tamara Faye Messner, formerly Bakker, was an American singer, evangelist, author, television personality, and talk show host. She was born on 7th March 1942 in International Falls, Minnesota, U.S., and died at the age of 65 on 20th July 2007 in Loch Lloyd, Missouri, the U.S., after an eleven-year bout with cancer. Tammy Faye Bakker’s 11 years with cancer were highly publicized!
Tammy Faye Bakker first grabbed the limelight for her praiseworthy work with The PTL Club. It was a televangelist program she co-founded with her husband Jim Bakker in 1974. The Christian television program was later known as PTL Today and as Heritage Today. The show was a massive hit and helped them to garner huge applause. Then in the early 1970s, the couple had also hosted their own puppet show series for local programming in Minnesota. Her iconic heavy mascara has several times made her a subject to criticism, but she eventually had popularised it.
Tammy Faye Bakker has also worked extensively as a recording artist. In 1978, she and Bakker together had also built an American Christian theme park Heritage USA. Following this, she married an American building contractor named Ronald Roe Messner in 1993.
