In the previous chapter, Jin is at the “Cosmos Competitive Arena,” a martial arts tournament held every year in one of the Northern Islands of Bellahew Archipelago. Veradin Ziple was also sent there by the family’s elder. The Elder told Veradin that the future patriarch of the Hairan family, Dante Hairan would also be participating in the tournament this year. The Elder tells Veradin to go visit the island and witness Hairan fight.

The Elder also tells Veradin to see for himself the level of the man that Veradin must overcome one day in the future. Veradin is extremely bored after Hairan’s match since no interesting thing has happened since the match on the first day. While complaining about the situation to his subordinates, Veradin sees the name “Jin Grey” on the upcoming competitors list on a board. Veradin’s energy level and enthusiasm bounce back up after seeing that.

On the other hand, Jin has been trying to stay awake for the past 3 days so that he doesn’t end up falling in trap of other competitors.
