Stupid Genius Episode 4: Release Date, Recap & Streaming Guide

The most awaited Vietnamese BL drama has dropped. Stupid Genius offers something that even we didn’t know we needed. This rom-com will leave you bursting into laughter and delivers some “awe” moments.

The official trailer of Stupid Genius was released on 2 June, and the drama premiered on 9 June 2023. So far, three episodes have been released, and it keeps getting better and better.

The only shortcoming is that it is too short, both in the number of episodes and episode run time. Although an official confirmation has not been given, it is reported that the drama only has six episodes. Each one of them will last about 13-17 minutes.
The story revolves around students who have the lowest result and are put into the lowest class, 12A13.

Vinh is the topper of the class. He studies hard and seems like he does not belong there. Khoa is the class monitor and holds the record of being at the bottom of the class for 11 years.

Accompanying them in the class are Phuong, the tarot reader, Hoàng and Kha, a messy duo, and Thao.
Multiple love stories blooms, and confusion overtakes the teens in this boy love drama.

Stupid Genius Episode 3 Recap

The episode begins with the results rolled out for the class, and Khoa is happy this time as he improved by three ranks, but Vinh is not happy. He storms out of the classes leaving Khoa in a dilemma.

Confused about what just happened, Khoa dashes out for him as well. Other students also come to see their results. Kha is displeased to know that despite copying answers from him, Hoàng got half mark more than him.

He decides that he’ll not let Hoàng copy answers from him anymore. The latter says that he only wrote what Kha did and blames the marking of their teacher.

Meanwhile, Khoa finds Vinh on the stairs, where they have a conversation about how the two actually feel about the results. Vinh is upset that he is a bad tutor who couldn’t help Khoa improve.

On the brighter side, Khao focuses on his improvement and says Vinh’s lectures are easier to understand. Khoa also questions Vinh on how he ended up in this class despite his excellent results.

Vinh reveals he had a fight with the teacher, and she ill-treated him for not attending extra lectures. The two discuss Khoa’s passion for badminton. He used to play with his father and got addicted to it, but the teacher told him that low grades would prevent his admission to the desired school.

In this episode, we can see how Khoa is all unaware and curious about his attraction and feelings towards Vinh when Vinh’s words ‘I like you’ leave him totally flabbergasted.

Khoa reaches out to his friends for answers to his queries. Things go way intense when Vinh ruffles his hair in the class.

As the episode progresses, Khoa seeks a more desperate option by asking his friend Phuong to read the tarot for him to know what Vinh ruffling his hair meant.

She insists that he doesn’t need a tarot reading for this and rather should confront the guy directly. On the other hand, we get to see a different story arc as well; Kha is still fighting with Hoàng to get half a mark more.

Hoàng is busy looking at his crush Hoa. Upon noticing this, Kha approaches her to let her know about Hoàng’s feelings. On the scene appears a guy that is revealed as Hoa’s boyfriend to the characters and us.

The episode holds a fast pace to it that ends when Khoa finds their teacher also ruffling Vinh’s hair while he is studying.
