Street Woman Fighter 2 is proving to be a huge hit with audiences in South Korea and worldwide. The show’s first season saw some big names from the industry participate and give their best, and it is safe to say that Season 2 is making its own impact.
This time, Street Woman Fighter 2 has leveled up considerably. From international dance crews taking part in the competition to the dance battles being even more intense, the stakes are higher than ever. Each of the eight crews in the show has their brilliant dancers, but a twist in the last episode had everyone holding their breath. Let’s talk about what happened in Episode 2 first.
Street Woman Fighter 2 is the second installment in the SWF series, which premiered on the 22nd of August, 2023. Airing on Mnet’s television channel every Tuesday, the show has 10 episodes and a run time of 2 hours.
Everything That Happened Till Street Woman Fighter Season 2: Episode 3
The second episode began with the results of the previous battle between Lia and Mina, with the latter being declared the winner by the judges. However, the dancers’ emotions seemed to get in the way of their performance, which did not sit well with Monica.
The rest of the episode was filled with the dancers battling each other with various styles, with the next being between Ling and Cera. Though both of them were phenomenal, the win ultimately went to Cera. This episode also saw Mini from Wolf’Lo finally securing a hard-earned win for herself after a battle and then a rematch against Tsubakill’s Akanen.
The real curveball that had everyone’s eyes glued to the screen was that of the Ace Battles. The format of this round was such- each team picked one member as an ace member, and one of these ace dancers was selected randomly one by one. The other aces had the opportunity to battle this dancer if they desired, but the real kicker was that the points for wins and losses were doubled in this round.
After the other ace battles, a crew battle commenced between Lady Bounce and 1Million, which proved to be a high point for Lady Bounce after their unfortunate losing streak, and they came out the winner.
Other intriguing points of the episode included the final rankings after the crew battles (in which Wolf’Lo came out on top with an impressive 12 wins and Lady Bounce at the bottom) and, of course, the much-awaited class mission.
Not only did Rena leave everyone stunned after securing the position of the main dancer in the rookie group, but the audition for the main dancer in the leader group also had everyone on the edge of their seats. Apart from these extremely important developments that the ‘No Respect’ and ‘Class’ missions gave us, there was also a lot that raised more than a few eyebrows for the viewers.
Redlic’s unfair treatment towards Latrice, despite being fully aware of the language barrier between the groups, was the cause of much discussion on social media. That apart, Rena seemed to be getting a little too ahead of herself as the main dancer, which has ruffled a few feathers amongst the rest of the team.
Street Woman Fighter 2: Episode 3 Spoilers
The third episode is much-anticipated, as we see the next mission being put into action- the K-Pop Death Match. The stakes are even higher this time, as the team ranking the lowest overall will face an elimination. With all the crews feeling the heat, tensions are rising further amongst the dancers.
Latrice appears to be singled out yet again during the video shoot for the sub-leaders, with a lack of communication and misunderstandings happening left and right. However, they’re not the only ones in trouble- the rookie class doesn’t seem to be faring very well either.
The K-Pop Death Match is a do-or-die or all for the crews, so failing is not an option for them. Unfortunately, things go awry for Deep N Dap yet again as Mina Myoung is seen as unwell backstage, unable to practice.
With such a critical battle approaching fast and little time left, it will be quite a rollercoaster watching how all the participants deal with their own personal and professional hurdles.
