Street Outlaws Filming Locations

Casper, Wyoming is the largest city in Wyoming. It’s also one of the wealthiest cities in America. Casper has a population of just over 55,000 and is located on Interstate 25 at the intersection with U.S. Highway 20, approximately 230 miles north of Denver and 350 miles northwest of Cheyenne on I-25 and about 60 miles south of Buffalo on I-25 and US-20. For Street Outlaws, the series was filmed in Highway 257, which is also named “The Casper West Belt”, a series of straight roads that make racing ideal for this show.
The town was established in 1888 as a railroad stop, and though the population remained small for much of the 20th century, the city’s economy began to diversify in the 1970s. Today, Casper is home to a growing number of manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and corporate offices, in addition to thriving tourism industry.
The city of Joliet is located in Will County, Illinois about 40 miles southwest of Chicago. It is situated on the Des Plaines River and is a part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Joliet was founded in 1834 by James B. Campbell and William B. Ogden. Races at the world-renowned Route 66 Raceway were also filmed for the television show. A 0.375-mile dirt oval and a dragstrip make up the drag racing venue. International Speedway Corporation owns and operates Route 66 Raceway. The second season of the series was also shot in Chicago.
The San Antonio Raceway in Marion, Texas, served as the location for one episode of ‘Street Outlaws.’ Street and drag track events are popular here. Texan Fort Worth makes an appearance in the series. The Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, served as the backdrop for a race in season 8. The OKC crew raced here in front of around 30,000 spectators. The National Hot Rod Association’s first “super track” is a quarter-mile drag racing facility.
Ennis, Texas is a small town located in Ellis County. It is home to approximately 6,000 people and is the birthplace of country music star Lee Ann Womack. The town’s main industry is agriculture, with cotton and cattle being the primary crops and livestock. Ennis has a strong sense of community spirit, with many residents taking an active role in the town’s civic organizations and events.
