Kristin Juszczyk diligently crafts her attire for Super Bowl LVIII, eagerly anticipating her husband Kyle Juszczyk’s participation in the NFL championship game.
“The scars on my fingertips from stabbing myself [on] accident with a needle are getting craaaazy,” Kristin, 29, wrote via Instagram Story on Friday, February 2, sharing a pic of her injured hand and a laughing emoji.
At 32, Kyle serves as the fullback for the San Francisco 49ers, set to compete against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11, hosted at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. Having married Kyle in 2019, Kristin eagerly prepares her celebratory game day ensemble.
Additionally, the fashion designer announces the creation of a “very limited collection” of neutral Super Bowl LVIII puffer vests, as revealed in a second Instagram Story post on Friday.
Kristin’s jersey-inspired puffer coats gained widespread attention after Taylor Swift sported one crafted from her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs jersey at a January playoff game. Notably, Kristin has replicated these jackets for Brittany Mahomes, the spouse of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, and Simone Biles, married to Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens. During the NFC championship game on January 28, Kristin proudly donned a customized version for Kyle, featuring an embroidered “Super Bowl Bound” message discreetly placed on the inside sleeves.
“I’m like, ‘Wow, this would be a really fun challenge for me. How can I make something for every game, and how can I continue to make different styles?’” Kristin told San Francisco’s KRON4 News last month of her designs. “Women want to wear things they feel comfortable in, and for me, I try to take silhouettes and shapes I would wear in my everyday life. I’m like, ‘How can I mimic this look into sportswear?’”
She expressed, “While many have these jerseys, the games, particularly in the postseason, can be cold, prompting people to cover up with jackets. I wondered, ‘How can I reimagine the jersey to allow fans to represent their favorite player in chilly weather?'”
Following the buzz around Kristin’s designs, recent reports unveiled that she secured a license to incorporate official NFL branding into her creations. While specific terms remain undisclosed, Kristin frequently fashions her pieces using Nike jerseys or vintage merchandise. Olivia Culpo, engaged to 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, had previously sought Kristin’s expertise, resulting in a playoff top crafted from a vintage team sweatshirt.
