The episode begins with Mao Chong practicing the javelin throw, which ends up disastrous each time. He joins Su Yu, who is ready with a camera for Wu Bi. Mao joins Su Yu and asks him where Wu Bi is, and Su Yu tells him he is already set for his 100 meters race.
Wu Bi spots Su Yu in the crowd and starts smiling at him. He gets a little late to follow the command and start the race because of his focus on Su Yu, but he manages to secure a win. He breaks the previous year’s record of 100 meters race and joins Su Yu.
Zhang Yao clicks their picture, and the girls talk about how she keeps clicking on Su Yu’s picture after being rejected multiple times. The next day, it was time for Su Yu to participate in the race. The atmosphere is all hyped up for him. He begins the race at his pace, but soon boys start teaming up against him to prevent him from winning.
Wu Bi cannot stand the cheating, and he gets on the ground himself to support Su Yu. He helps him calm down and advises him to run at his own pace without looking at others. Soon the two are running alongside and cross the victory line together. Both of the winners return to the class with their honors.
The class wants them to celebrate the win by performing something, and two of them sing the song closest to their heart. On reaching home, they have a meal with Duo and their parents. They inform the kids that they have decided to open a shop.
Duo asks her brother to prepare a dance for Children’s Day, and Wu Bi starts helping Su Yu learn. Later, when Wu Bi overhears the parents struggling with the rent, he helps them without letting them know. Meanwhile, Duo, Wu Bi, and Su Yu spend a good time together.
Wu Bi insists on making noodles for them from scratch. He struggles the entire time in the kitchen. In the end, we see him walk up to his mother’s grave, offering her some handmade noodles for her birthday, just like she used to make when she was alive. Su Yu and Duo watch him from afar.
