Another great animation series from the Star Wars Franchise, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, will soon release a new episode. Created by Dave Filoni, this Sci-Fi series is a spin-off of the original Clone Wars series that was aired back in 2008.
First seen on television on May 4th, 2021, the show revolves around the Clone Trooper group that calls themselves Clone Force 99. All of them are members who have had genetic mutations and together they travel throughout the galaxies making sure that peace is maintained while also fixing the consequences of various Clone Wars. They are the exceptions of their kind, as none of the members of the Clone Force 99 can be influenced by Order 66.
Their defiance led to them being called the fugitives or The Bad Batch. Most of the characters are voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. These characters include Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Echo. The voice actor for omega is Michelle Ang. The second season of the series has been airing since January 4th, 2023.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 10: Recap
In the previous episode, we see Tech and Wrecker trying to be stranded. Their only means of travel was now broken. They try to find Gonky by tracing his binary reference code. Benni contacts Mokko and informs him about finding something interesting while scouting. He shows him the ship he got from the old mines. Mokko immediately recognizes that the ship is not just any normal mining ship.
Despite working so hard, Benni only gets a few drops of water when he asks for water rations. The ship is taken and he is allowed to keep the droid. Gonky contacts the group and gives them an idea of where the Marauder could be. When the clone force arrives at the location the signals were sent from, they see that there are life forms near it. Benni has a closer look at Gonky and decides to sell his parts, but right then the clone force confronts him.
They ask him where the ship is, to which Benni doesn’t give any hints. He later says he gave it to Mokko, the ruler of the area. The group asks Benni to take them to Mokko. They see that the central portal is ray-shielded and entrances were full of guards. They won’t be able to use blasters since the location was an ipsium mine. They see that the stack could be used as a way of entering the tower. For this, they’d have to time their entrance perfectly between the 60 seconds of each exhaust cycle.
Benni tries to leave but the group takes him with them. As soon as they enter the hatch, they’re surprised to see a guard inside. Half the time passes, and Hunter has no choice but to make a decision quickly. He attacks the guard and enters the facility. Once inside, they find a huge but declining mine. The group finds the Marauder but sees that the hyperdrive has been removed.
To leave the mines, they’d have to disable the Ray shield from the central tower. Benni tries to get the card from one of the members of the inner circle. Drake is made the top earner despite Benni bringing in the ship. They enter the central tower and sneak into the control room. Benni betrays the Bad Batch by informing them about them.
Others back at the ship try to fix it but few of Mokko’s men see them. Soon Mokko catches the clone force, but not before Benni is informed that the mines are not declining. This makes him realize just how manipulative Mokko was. He stops the Clone force from being taken to the mines. Benni lets everyone know the truth. Mokko is cornered by his employees and falls into the mines. The mines are now taken over by the workers.
