Fans of the beloved fantasy light novel series, “Spice and Wolf,” are eagerly anticipating the upcoming TV anime adaptation titled “Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf.”
The series is set to make its debut in Japan on April 1, 2024, with broadcasts scheduled on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi. Additional broadcasts are slated for BS TV Tokyo and AT-X, while Crunchyroll will include it in their spring 2024 anime simulcast lineup.
The original novels, crafted by Isuna Hasekura and illustrated by Ju Ayakura, have garnered a dedicated following since their publication by ASCII Media Works under the Dengeki Bunko imprint in Japan.
Yen Press offers an English-language version for international readers. The TV anime adaptation is helmed by directors Takeo Takahashi and Hijiri Sanpei at the animation studio Passione.

Lawrence is a traveling merchant selling various goods from a horse-drawn cart. One day, he arrives at a village and meets a beautiful girl with the ears and tail of an animal!
Her name is Holo the Wisewolf and she brings bountiful harvests. She wishes to return to her homeland, and Lawrence offers to take her. Now, the once-lonely merchant and the once-lonely wisewolf begin their journey north.
