Special Ops: Lioness Episode 7 Recap
Westfield, Joe, and Kaitlyn decide to set up an operation at Aaliyah’s wedding destination, Majora, in Special Ops: Lioness Episode 7. Performing their duties is the only option, irrespective of success or loss ahead. Aaliyah, related to a dangerous person, goes to New York to shop with Cruz.
Aaliyah and Cruz reach a place of hustle and bustle, Mindels. They enjoy, and Aaliyah kisses Cruz until the duo realizes it is not the right place to do so. They go to a hotel to do the thing, and Cruz starts crying.
Meanwhile, Kyle, who is a few floors below, hears them and informs Joe. Cruz confirms that she and Aaliyah are a couple, which makes Joe come to New York for a brief conversation. Cruz agrees to be in love with Aaliyah, but Joe does not think Aaliyah feels the same for Cruz.
Joe only wants Cruz to return to the critical mission, but Cruz asks for some time. Cruz does not wish to attend Aaliyah’s wedding as she cannot see her getting away. However, Aaliyah insists she attends it as her father will not be there due to the possible threat.
Aaliyah wants someone from her side. Thus, Cruz accepts the invitation. Meanwhile, Kyle and Joe hear their conversation through a transmitter Cruz has.
Special Ops: Lioness Episode 7 Ending Explained
Cruz turns the transmitter off for a few moments during her conversation with Aaliyah. Thus, she gets questioned for it by Joe at the base. Cruz wants Kaitlyn to know that Aaliyah’s father will not attend the wedding. She also finds herself undertrained for the mission and does not want to go with it.
Joe wants her soldier, Cruz, on the mission, but Cruz is interested in attending the wedding. Thus, instead of feeling guilty afterward, the entire team secretly plans for her to miss her flight to the wedding destination and join them on a flight to Barcelona.
Kaitlyn informs Errol that it can be her final mission during a final goodbye. Errol asks her to be careful, but Kaitlyn knows where she is heading. Meanwhile, Joe bids an emotional goodbye to her recovering daughter, Kate. They both have a conversation, after which Kate realizes it can be Joe’s final mission.
Joe’s team might strike missiles, putting Cruz in danger. Thus, Joe wants it to be the last option. She asks Cruz to go through a video representing all terrorist activities supported by Aaliyah’s father at the end of the episode.
Special Ops: Lioness Episode 7 Review
Special Ops: Lioness Episode 7 had many conversations that might go on for eternity. Every episode in this series could be the sequel to the previous one, but every episode came with a new story.
Cruz and Aaliyah’s chemistry was a surprise. It added some spice to the series, but it was not enough. Aaliyah’s wedding could have been more grand and a center of attraction, but the involvement of the CIA officers and their mission made it bitter. The special ops are unconvincing and derivative, according to some viewers.
The creator of the series, Taylor Sheridan, presented a better storyline, but the actors could have done better to justify it. It looks like he prioritized the choices made by the other production team members.
Cruz is a lioness and a trained hand-to-hand combatant, which she forgot after falling for Aaliyah. Thus, Joe made her watch an eight-hour-long video to realize how cruel Aaliyah’s father is and how critical their mission is.
The key characters bid a final goodbye to their loved ones in the seventh episode. Let us see whether Cruz remembers her responsibilities, and we watch an emotional or happy ending in the eighth episode.
