Alongside the announcement, the production team released the anime’s first teaser trailer, a new key visual, and the main cast and staff.

The Story: From Warrior to Monster Home Builder

Soara and the House of Monsters follows Soara, a young girl who was raised by knights to fight the monsters threatening her kingdom. However, just as she is ready to become a warrior, the war ends, leaving her without a purpose.

While searching for a new path, Soara meets Kirik, a dwarf who leads a group of skilled builders known as the Monster Architects. Instead of fighting monsters, they design and build safe, comfortable homes for them. As Soara joins their journey, she discovers a kinder side of the fantasy world and begins to find a new purpose beyond the battlefield. The series blends adventure, heartwarming moments, and beautiful world-building in a fresh take on the fantasy genre.

Main Cast Takes the Spotlight as Soara and the House of Monsters Prepare for TV Debut

Studio FelixFilm is producing the Soara and the House of Monsters anime. The main cast features Ikumi Hasegawa as Soara and Ayumu Murase as Kirik, the dwarf architect who helps Soara discover a new purpose in life. Both voice actors appear in the first teaser trailer, giving fans an early look at the anime’s warm, adventurous tone and how the beloved manga will be brought to life on screen.

Soara and the House of Monsters is serialized on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry platform and has been available in English through Seven Seas Entertainment since 2023. The fantasy manga has introduced readers around the world to its unique blend of adventure, world-building, and heartfelt storytelling.

The manga’s seventh volume is scheduled to be released in Japan on August 10, arriving shortly after the anime announcement. The timing suggests a coordinated effort to build excitement for the upcoming TV adaptation ahead of its 2027 premiere.

To celebrate the anime announcement, Hidenori Yamaji shared a special illustration and thanked fans for supporting Soara and the House of Monsters over the years. He said watching the anime team bring the project to life reminded him of Soara and Kirik working together to build homes in the story. Yamaji added that this experience made him confident that the anime would become “a wonderful house” of its own, expressing his excitement for fans to see the finished series.
