Rilakkuma is getting another season. Following the broadcast of Episode 24, San-X and the anime’s production team confirmed that Season 3 is officially in development, along with a new promotional video and key visual.

The announcement was made on September 12, 2026. The new season will be titled “Kimama ni Manpuku Biyori” in Japanese, a title that roughly conveys the idea of carefree days filled with good food and contentment. San-X shared the news through its official channels.

Rilakkuma’s Next Story Gets a New Direction

The Season 3 announcement continues the anime’s approach of placing Rilakkuma and his friends in relaxed, everyday adventures while expanding the world around them.

The newly released third PV gives fans another look inside at the characters’ leisurely lives. Like the earlier promotional videos, the footage emphasizes the warm and calming atmosphere that has become central to the franchise.

The official announcement describes Season 3 as a new story featuring Rilakkuma and his friends, with the promotional video once again featuring narration from Rira Ikuta, who also performs the anime’s theme song. Rather than positioning the series around conventional action or dramatic conflict, the new season appears to preserve the comforting tone that has defined the 2026 anime adaptation.

The New Key Visual Teases More Relaxed Adventures

Alongside the trailer, the production team revealed a third key visual.

The artwork serves as the first major visual introduction to the upcoming season and accompanies the announcement of its new title.

The visual and trailer also reinforce the series’ emphasis on Rilakkuma’s laid-back lifestyle. For longtime fans, that familiar atmosphere is likely to remain one of the biggest attractions when the next season arrives.
