The anime is directed by Shinya Watada, known for his work on Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty, Aikatsu Stars!, and Gundam Build Fighters Try. Series composition is handled by Michihiro Tsuchiya, while Michinori Chiba serves as the character designer. Hitomi Kotō is composing the music, with Hiroshi Arisawa overseeing the action animation. Concept design is by Kanetake Ebikawa, props are designed by Takayuki Yanase, and CG production for the battle scenes is being handled by the acclaimed visual effects studio Shirogumi.
What Is The Bugle Call: Song of War About?
The Bugle Call: Song of War is set in a world where rival nations fight for control of the Spires, mysterious towers left behind by an ancient civilization. These towering structures are believed to contain powerful knowledge, making them the center of an ongoing conflict.
The story follows Luca, a bugler in a mercenary group who dreams of leaving the battlefield behind to become a musician. However, his life changes when he discovers he is one of the mysterious “Branch-hexed,” people born with magical abilities connected to music. After surviving a deadly battle, Luca is rescued by a powerful leader known as the Pontiff, who recruits him into a team of other Branch-hexed warriors. Instead of escaping war, Luca finds himself drawn even deeper into a battle that could decide the fate of the world.
