After a bright and sunny day comes a cold and dark night, the trip to Ishikawa has finally come to an end and now it’s time for Mitsumi and Sousuke to return to their home. A return to home after a tiring trip sounds nice but for Sousuke, things are a bit different.
As we forward to Skip and Loafer Skip and Loafer Chapter 57, we can only hope to see more of Sousuke’s past so that we can truly understand what he’s going through.
The chapter opens up with Mitsumi and the other girls spending the last night of their trip. Mitsumi suddenly makes a soft sound due to her movements and everyone immediately reacts to it which shows that all of them are awake. Mako suggests that they can all talk about their crushes as it’s the perfect opportunity.

Everyone is shocked to see Mako suggesting something so embarrassing but they all eventually agree to follow along because they too realize that it would be a waste to just sleep. Mika adds that they should just reveal if they like someone or not and everyone agrees. The countdown begins and everyone prepares to make their move.
Surprisingly, Mako is the only one who raises her hand at the end of the countdown. Everyone showers her with questions as they all wanna know who that person is. Mako argues that she would only answer the questions if she also gets to ask questions to everyone. This statement from Mako easily makes everyone silent.
Mika asks Mitsumi if she also doesn’t like anyone. Mitsumi remains silent because she likes Shima but she just wants to stay his friend. Everyone continues their talk on relationships and love interests but Yuzuki says that she just wants to be a veterinarian. Yuzuki’s words grab everyone’s attention and they all tell Yuzuki how cool she is.
After discussing their plans, all the girls go back to sleep. Mitsumi stays up and thinks that she will just tell everyone that she dated a bit after they reach Tokyo. She decided to do this because of various reasons like she didn’t want everyone to feel uncomfortable during the end of the trip and also she still isn’t quite sure about her feelings.
The focus then shifts to Sousuke in his room discussing how he truly enjoyed the trip. Sousuke suddenly gets a text from Ririka mentioning a mysterious guy she met at the parlor. Sousuke’s smile fades away after seeing the picture sent by Ririka as he remembers a part of his past and gets knocked back to reality.
The long and emotional night ends and a bright morning begins. Mitsumi, Sousuke, and everyone else spend their last moments on the beach and enjoy the trip to its fullest. They all then thank the landlord for allowing them to stay at their place and then they finally depart.
Mitsumi and Sousuke return in the same car so the atmosphere becomes quite awkward. Mitsumi decides to just sleep because she stays awake for the most part during the night. Sousuke blushes after watching Mitsumi sleeping so close to him.
Just like that, Everyone reaches Tokyo and departs their way. While everyone happily returns home, there’s Sousuke who is still filled with regrets. Sousuke arrives at his home and finds that his mom has cleaned his room and also other rooms in the house.
Sousuke’s Mom asks why he’s carrying so much luggage if he just went to meet a friend. Sousuke says that he went to Ishikawa to meet his friend which makes his mom angry. She tells him that he should at least inform her if he was going somewhere because she would have prepared accordingly for it.
Sousuke tells her Mom that he took care of all his expenses and other stuff so she doesn’t need to concern herself with those issues. He also reminds her how she promised that she wouldn’t interfere in his life. Sousuke then heads out of his house to rethink everything because he feels like he’s being too rude.
Sousuke wonders if he still hates his mom despite all she has done to reconcile. Looking at the sky, Sousuke wonders if he should just let it all go.
