Show Me Love Series Synopsis
In Show Me Love, we are introduced to a girl from a small town who dreams of going to Bangkok and living her dream life. She is talented in singing and part-timing as a singer to earn money for her family, which consists of her mother and younger brother.
Meena, who loves to sing, wishes to go to a bigger city like Bangkok to chase her dreams, but her family is not financially strong enough to support her in this, and neither is her mother too happy about her choice of career but later agrees.
But Meena adamantly leaves for Bangkok, where she gets to meet Cherlyn, an agency’s model. The two’s meeting does not begin pleasantly as Meena is annoyed at Cherlyn’s rash driving, and both enter a tussle with words.
They find out they are neighbors. An especially important person comes to meet Cherlyn and her two industry friends- Mother Kiki, who is the mentor of the girls who model and enter beauty pageants as contestants. She trains them and guides them through the process to bring out the beauty and shine in them.
Mother Kiki brings news of an upcoming beauty pageant contest where she encourages the girls to participate. The other two girls except for Cherlyn, are excited and elatedly consent. However, Cherlyn refuses to agree despite many urges. She has been hurt too many times when she participated in multiple beauty contests but never won.
Meena, who is happy to re-meet and live with her aunt Chad, goes for a singing audition where she performs well as usual, hoping to get selected for the job. Cherlyn’s boyfriend contacts her, looking to end their relationship. They break up, and a hurt and sad Cherlyn deletes all memories of the man from her life.
A contestant gets injured and is unable to participate in the competition anymore, prompting Mother Kiki’s worries and wishes to find a fresh new face. Cherlyn asks Meena to participate in the contest. Meena refuses initially but accepts the payment offer for participating in the pageant.
In the journey of the girls learning to own the runway, opening up to each other, and moving past their troubles, they discover precious friendships and passionate romance.
