If you are a k-pop stan then you must have heard of SHINee. It is one of the most popular k-pop bands of all time that has bagged the title “Prince Of K-pop.” From their unique music to their captivating fashion sense and their iconic dance moves they have won hearts! SHINee is a South Korean boy band consisting of five members. Now the group is reduced to four members following Jonghyun’s death in 2017. The present members of the band- Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin are still active in the group and are actively releasing albums.

Lee Jin-ki, known as Onew is the leader of SHINee. He acted as the pallbearer during Jonghyun’s funeral ceremony. Onew was pretty close with Jonghyun and his death was so much very upsetting and sudden to him. On Jonghyun’s birthday, the singer shared a selfie showing both of them on his Instagram handles. He wrote, “The Best Artist Ever In My Life.” This shows the close bond that the k-pop stars share.
Onew is planning to make a comeback with his new album DICE which will be released soon. This album will be released after almost four years since his last album VOICE which was released in December 2018. Fans are eagerly awaiting his comeback!
Meanwhile, Kim Ki-bum known by his stage name, Key, is the lead dancer, lead rapper and sub-vocalist of SHINee. Key shares a close friendship with the late K-pop star. After his death, key apologized to Jonghyun saying how sorry he is for not being his “Source Of Strength” during his hard times. Key’s latest album is Bad Love which was released in September 2021.
On 8th April, Key took to his social media handles to share a video of Jonghyun. In that video, Jonghyun was shown trying to bite the cookie as a whole. Sharing the funny video he captioned it, “Hyung, I miss you so much. It’s no use keeping this video to myself so I’ll share it. I love you.”

Jonghyun was born on the 8th of April 1990. Kim Jong-hyun was a South Korean Actor, singer and songwriter. He served as a member of SHINee for almost nine years. He is one of the most famous k-pop idols and was the main vocalist of the boy band. On December 18, 2017, major shocking news shook everyone around the world. Jonghyun, the famous k-pop idol has died. He left a note saying that he was sorry for the massive step and that he was engulfed by depression. The singer committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in a hotel room in Seoul.
Though it’s been almost half a decade since the actor ended his life, he continues to enthral us with his amazing music. One cannot deny the fact that his music is awesome.
