Alongside him, 7 other criminals are given a choice to join the Shinsengumi organization and become a samurai or die. The Shinsengumi organization was filled with legendary samurais but due to the masked demons, all were killed but one Todo Heisuke.
After learning that Shisengumi’s sole mission is to kill the masked demons, Ichibanboshi joins the organization as its substitute commander Isami Kondo. His main goal is to avenge his parent’s death and he will do anything for that. This anime looks very promising with its animation and storytelling.

The anime has just started and our main character, Ichinanboshi has already become the thing he hated the most. A Samurai. Besides a typical samurai action story, one of the main genres of this anime is comedy. Becoming the thing you have always hated the most is something iconic yet very repetitive in the storytelling industry. But it still is one of the best factors in fiction or non-fiction storytelling. Ichibanboshi in Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys! anime is not an exception to that. In the first episode, he may have used a Katana to defeat a masked demon but it is still not his expertise.
