The story of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie revolves majorly around the main couple, Izumi and Shikimori. They are high school sweethearts who mostly remain deeply indulged in being lovey-dovey with each other. Shikimori appears the typical sweet girlfriend and is also renowned to be the prettiest girl in their school. However switches her personality when things go wrong for Izumi.
On the other hand, we have Izumi who has the most unlucky life where he constantly keeps falling into trouble. An anime adaptation of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie was announced back in 2021 by Magazine Pocket. In March 2022, the release date of the same has finally been fixed. Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie release date is set to be 9 April 2022 (Saturday) at 2:00 hours JST. The opening theme of the anime will be performed by m Nasuo☆ will perform the opening theme song, while Yuki Nakashima will perform the ending theme song
The anime will be broadcast on ABC TV, TV Asahi, AT-X, BS-12, and ABEMA in Japan. The anime will also be available on Netflix, Amazom Prime Video, U-NEXT, Animehodai, FOD, Bandai Channel, Hulu, TELASA, Hikari TV, and WOWOW On Demand from 14 April and will broadcast all future episodes every Thursday.
For International viewers, the anime has been licens d by Crunchyroll and Muse Communication. In addition to the big announcement, the second key visual of the anime has also been released.
