“Proost,” asks for Rs. 1 Crore for 0.75% equity. All the sharks opt out of the deal as they don’t think they can add any value to the brand.
The next pitch is done by Naveed Munshi and Pramod Tirlapur’s “Dr. Cubes.” “Dr. Cubes” is a hygienic ice cube brand that meets all the food and beverage consumption parameters. The brand is available across various quick commerce platforms. The brand makes various types of ice which include cubes, gourmet, crushed, infused, and artisan ice.
“Dr. Cubes” started in December 2017 and has already sold 1.2 Crores Kgs of ice to date. The brand sells ice for Rs. 85 per kg in B2C. The main advantage of the company is that they deliver the ice on time. They have their own distribution logistics set up in Bangalore. They have tied up with major companies like TATA, and nature baskets.
The sale split of the brand is 60% from Wholesale and 40% from Retail. Their net margin after delivery is 35%.
“Dr. Cube,” asks for Rs. 80 Lakhs for 15% equity. All the Sharks opt out of the deal as they don’t see the business profiting in the long term. They do not have much understanding of the ice market.
The next pitch is done by Kaaman Agarwal and Girish Nagpal’s “Metro Ride.” “Metro Ride” is an AI-based EV vehicle booking platform that connects daily commuters to public transport. Through the app, the commuter can book 2-wheeler or 3-wheeler electric vehicles, to reach the metro station or local stations. The company has many women drivers as well.
“Metro Ride” is currently available in Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Delhi. They have served more than 6 lakh customers in the past 1.5 years. The average wait time in the app is only 2 minutes.
“Metro Ride” has a B2B sales of 35%. They have tie-ups with education facilities and some tech companies. They have 150 onboard vehicles.
“Metro Ride,” asks for Rs. 75 Lakhs for 1% equity. All the Sharks opt out of the deal as they think there is no business here, as there are many competitors.
The next pitch is done by Arvind Arora’s “Conker” App. “Conker” is a skilled-based app. Through experts, skill-based courses are taught. They also employ teachers and students.
In the last six months, “Conker” had more than nine lakh downloads and has a rating of 4.8, with more than sixty thousand reviews from students. The app has a lifetime sale of Rs. 1.2 crores, with a profit of 8%.
Initially, “Conker” does not ask for anything. They just want support from the Sharks even if they pay Rs. 1. For this support, they will give 0.1% equity to the Sharks.
“Conker” makes a second offer of Rs. 40 lakhs for 1% equity. After a long discussion, all the Sharks opt out of the deal as they think that the App is trying to explore a lot of things at the same time, and there are a huge number of competitors, so investing will be a bit risky.
