SES’s Shoo has left everyone in tears with one of the darkest revelations about her life. She recently appeared in one of the episodes of TV Chosun’s Star Documentary – My Way and talked about one of the most terrible aspects of her entire life. After being entangled in a very serious gambling controversy everything turned bleak for her to a limit where she couldn’t find her will to live anymore.
Being dragged down to the furthest limit, Shoo gave up on her emotions and life. With no motivation for anything, she withdrew herself from the world to the darkest corner of her brain. Indeed, it is never an easy choice to make. It is never an easy thing to do. It takes a lot of courage for someone to take their own life and that explains their limit to things.

SES’s Shoo: Her Time On ‘Stay Documentary – My Way’
The painful revelation about SES’s Shoo going through a complete bleak mental trauma has set the entire internet in waves once again. Her hiatus after the gambling controversy led her to the deepest trenches of darkness and hopelessness. The artist has opened up about the same on TV Chosun’s Star Documentary – My Way.
Her appearance on the show was a very unexpected and surprising one for all her fans out there as the artist has been inactive since the gambling controversy which took place in the year 2018. In an episode of the ‘Star Documentary – My Way’ she opened up about one of the darkest moments of her life which was caused due to her gambling addiction.
It is no hidden fact that the controversy led her life and career into a series of chaos. The time period which came after the controversy was painfully numb and hopeless for her. She used to have severe suicidal thoughts because of which she always walked around carelessly hoping a car would hit her.
She said that she didn’t want the media reporting that she has committed suicide and thought it would be better to have them print that she had a deathly accident.
Explaining further Shoo said that she never wanted to leave behind a burden of guilt on the shoulders of people by committing suicide.
Therefore, getting involved in a car accident looked easier to her. Whenever she walked outside, she did that with her eyes pinned to the ground. Though, destiny had something else in the box for her. All the cars slowed down or stopped and she took that as a sign that she should live.
Indeed, taking one’s own life is never a light decision for anyone and talking about the same is devastating. By the end of it, Shoo was in tears. Though, she continued further saying that at that time she was not able to spot any reasons to live. She knew that it was her to blame and that turned into self-hatred. She always questioned her existence.

SES’s Shoo: All About the Gambling Controversy
To take a trip in past, SES’s Shoo was sentenced to six months in prison, two years’ probation, and eighty hours of community service for her charges of habitual gambling overseas which was from August 2016 to May 2018 with a hefty sum of more than 790 million won.
In May 2019, she was sued for her failure in repaying the gambling debt.
In January 2022, which was four years after the gambling controversy, Shoo posted a handwritten letter apologizing to all her fans.
The letter was posted on her official Instagram account and read that her fear was really overwhelming for her and that’s why she is contacting everyone after so long. She wrote that she wanted to stand in front of all her fans after she has cleared out all the issues. But none of that became possible as the media kept spreading news which was far from the actual truth.
Writing further, the artist revealed about her gambling addiction which drowned everything for her. From her properties to all her assets and savings were gone and she was buried with a load of debt.
She also revealed all the ways she took in for paying off her debts. Moreover, she also thanked everyone who supported her throughout that terrible period. Wrapping up the letter she promised everyone that she will be better and will try her bets to return to the humble mindset she had back when she debuted as a member of S.E.S.
