The series is made under the direction of M. Night Shyamalan, the American-Indian director. The series was created by Tony Basgallop, and the astounding cinematography for the series is done by Mike Gioulakis. The series currently has four seasons with 40 episodes in total. The series was announced by Apple inc on February 27, 2018.
The series belongs to the thriller and psychological genre and is filmed mostly in Philadelphia and parts of Pennsylvania. The series is produced by Tony Basgallop, M. Servants Ending Explained
The series follows a wealthy couple, Sean and Dorothy, residing in Philadephia, who lost their baby before the arrival of Leanne. Dorothy is suffering from mental illness after the loss of her child. The marriage of the couple also suffers, and to deal with the fracture in their relationship Dorothy and Sean get a reborn baby. The only thing that got Dorothy out of her neuropsychiatric state is the reborn doll, which she considers to be her child.
Six weeks after the death of their child, the couple hires a young nanny Leanne to take care of the reborn doll. At the same time, Sean secretly deals with his grief. Problems begin once Leanne starts to take her job seriously and starts treating the child as a real baby. Sean didn’t want to hire help to take care of a reborn child, but he needed to do it for the betterment of Dorothy. Leanne starts treating the child as a real baby, which raises suspicion in Sean’s mind, and he calls his brother-in-law to investigate her.
The first season also witnesses Leanne taking the doll for a stroll and returning with a real baby. It is also revealed that the real Leanne Wisconsin is dead, and the one residing with Sean’s family is an impersonator. Leanne decides to punish Dorothy after learning the cause behind the death of the real Jericho. Leanne leaves with baby Jericho to her cult. Dorothy harms Leanne to get the location of her baby; Sean has to save Leanne multiple times a day from Dorothy.
By the end, the couple makes Leanne realize Dorothy is fine, and she returns them with baby Jericho. Dorothy decides to fire Leanne after an incident involving the killing of Dorothy’s co-worker, who threatens to reveal the secret behind Jericho. Sean realizes that Leanne is linked to Jericho to the point he won’t survive in her absence. We also witness Dorothy wishing to have a mother like Dorothy in her life. Leanne also gets assaulted by an unknown person. Roscoe betrays Dorothy in favor of Uncle George.

Does Leanne Die, Or Is It Her New Begining?
The last season started with a bang, but the ending of the series left the audience uncomfortable. Dorothy learns about Leanne being a cult member and decides to get rid of her for good. Julian and Sean back up Dorothy’s decision, as Leanne is still living in their house. Leanne is isolated from other except the cult members who worship the ground she walks on.
Leanne also learns that the only way to end her and all the chaos she has caused is by killing herself, as no one is stronger than her. Dorothy is heartbroken to know the truth that her son is dead, and the reason behind it is herself. Dorothy is left to make a difficult decision between removing Leanne from her life or living without her baby again. Leanne’s only desire was to have a family, and she may have been able to get it with Sean and Dorothy, but Leanne’s inability to control her powers makes it difficult for everyone.
Leanne begs Dorothy to accept her, but she ignores her to grieve the loss of her son. After a while, Dorothy goes back to Leanne and thanks her for giving her time with her son once again. Dorothy also tells Leanna she isn’t evil, only for Leanne to reveal how she let her parents die without a second thought. Dorothy makes the difficult decision to let Jericho go and live with the pain and guilt of his death. Leanne realizes she doesn’t have a purpose in life anymore.
Leanne makes the heartbreaking decision to end her life for the betterment of everyone after Uncle George’s advice. She ends up killing herself by engulfing Sean and Dorothy’s house in flames and being inside it. Leanne follows the cult’s tradition of blinding herself and slitting her arms with George’s dagger. In a twist, it is revealed Officer Reyes, who has supported Dorothy after she killed her baby by accident, is a member of the same cult as Leanne.
She has rashly driven her parents’ car and banged it with a tree, thus ending the lives of her loved ones. The unexpected twist, in the end, reveals Julian may also be a part of the cult as he was revived by Leanne on Christmas after his heart stopped from an overdose. The audience witnesses the appearance of angel wings behind Julian.
Is There Going To Be A Season 5 For The Sevant Series?
For the fans of the series, it is going to be disappointing news as the series has ended with the fourth season. The director and the team decided to conclude the show at the end of the fourth season of the show. The director revealed the reason behind the decision to conclude was he found it better to commit to four seasons of the series rather than six or more.
