Excitement is building as the anticipated anime adaptation of Pom’s rom-com manga, “Senpai is an Otokonoko,” gears up for release.
Fans can mark their calendars for July 2024, as the series is set to premiere on Fuji TV’s prestigious “Noitamina” block and will also be available on Crunchyroll.
The stellar cast includes Shuichiro Umeda as Makoto Hanaoka, Akira Sekine as Saki, and Yuma Uchida as Ryuji. This trio brings to life the love triangle that forms around Makoto, captivating viewers with the complexities of true love and relationships.
“Senpai is an Otokonoko” follows the story of high school student Saki, who confesses her feelings to Makoto, only to discover his unexpected secret. Undeterred, Saki remains committed to winning his heart.
The plot thickens as Makoto’s childhood friend, Ryuji, becomes entangled in the love triangle, realizing his own feelings for Makoto.
The original manga, published digitally in Japan by LINE and in print format by Ichijinsha, has gained popularity and even boasts an English language version on WEBTOON.
Shinsuke Yanagi directs the TV anime at animation studio project No.9, while Yoriko Tomita takes charge of the series composition, Shouto Shinkai contributes character designs, and Yukari Hashimoto provides the captivating musical score.
