Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
In the most recent episode of Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu Season 2, our main character, Sei, simply wants a nice, quiet life. The twist is that because of her status as the Saint, and she has to go to a posh debut and ball.
These functions should be attended by a princess, not a young lady seeking solitude. Sei has one positive aspect despite all of this confusion. In reality, she has a hidden dream that he will ask her to dance with him during the event.
She is ecstatic to meet him. It’s a welcome change of pace for them to have a quiet moment of romance between Sei and Hawke. She is amazing in her gorgeous gown and holy clothes. Hawke gets anxious when he sees her, even though she is oblivious to how gorgeous she truly is.
They are so cute together that even the maid squad is blushing. Having Liz, a friend of Sei’s, back is a pleasant surprise. Furthermore, she brings along Rayne, the second prince, who is far more charming and friendly than his older brother.
The first prince was nasty to her when they initially met, but Sei has completely forgotten this. The episode changes to a romantic tone as Sei and Hawke dance together. They dance together, and it’s obvious that they make a great couple.
Hawke holds Sei close, and they gaze into each other’s eyes. It’s a magical moment and an ideal dance. It might be awkward and nerve-wracking for her, so her friends keep her away from strange guys who might want to dance with her in these fancy situations. Instead, they convince people she knows, like Johan and Hawke’s brother, to dance with her.
It’s almost as if Sei has a group of admirers. When Sei is at a tea party with Liz and Aira, she admits that Hawke is her favorite dance partner. She also mentions that things have been relatively peaceful lately because the Royal Palace has kept unwanted people away. However, by mentioning this, Sei jinxes it.
Her peace seems about to be disrupted by a new miasma spike or an unexpected encounter with Ceyran. The interesting thing is that Sei has the same status as the king, so she is protected against jealous girls. Due to her unique circumstances, Liz appears to be in a lucky position.
Rayne and Liz seem to have a much better relationship than anyone expected. It adds a unique twist to the story. During the dance sequence, Sei’s nose appears unusually large. This is a quirky detail that was deliberately chosen to make animating the other dancing couples easier.
During the typical scenes where maids help Sei get dressed, wash her, and put on corsets, you might have noticed that they skip those scenes. This is a departure from the usual traditions in anime. The idea that they expect Sei to fully embrace noble customs and even discuss the possibility of marrying someone seems rather odd.
After all, she never intended to be in this position. Sei’s previous ceremony did not serve as her official introduction but just an apology for Prince Kyle’s past behavior. Because of the kingdom’s busy schedule, the ceremony will be combined with the ball, so Sei gets excited about it. When the maids notice how flustered Sei is around Albert, a guy who is interested in her, Sei gets ready for the ball and has a hilarious reaction.
The palace works hard to keep away guys who might try to steal Sei’s attention at the ball. Sei ends up dancing with Johan, Yuri, and Erhart, her friends, rather than random guys at the ball. The episode wraps up with the king having something to discuss with Sei, probably about the potion that Ceyran received from the Zaidera Empire. The imperial prince will be explored in the next episode.
