The episode featured an interesting take on what we know of Pompeii, an ancient city in southern Italy that was buried by the eruption of the still active volcano Mount Vesuvius, 2000 years ago, in 79 AD. In this thriller mystery documentary series, various experts use advanced forensic techniques to get a new insight into historical mysteries, like the riddle of whether the weather, the sinking of the Andrea Doria, or a potential geological event of some kind might have set off the Dark Ages.
