The world could do more animations for adults, and Adult Swim understands that thought. Jason Ruiz created the show Royal Crackers, an animated adult sitcom set to premiere its pilot on April 2nd, 2023. The show has not even released its first episode but has received a green light for a second installment.
The show is about a family, once famous for making delicious snacks but struggling to keep afloat. So when Theodore Hornsby Sr. ends up in a coma, his family tries their best to keep the business from crumbling, trying to bring its far-gone success back to it.
The American sitcom stars creator Jason Ruiz as Stebe, the main lead, along with Andrew Santino as Theodore or Theo. The show also has Jessica St. Claire, famous for her roles in Best Friends Forever and Playing House, as Deb, Stebe’s wife, alongside Fred Tatasciore, known for being the voice behind Hulk, as Al, and many other talented voices.
With the top boss in a coma and nobody to run the once-beloved snack company, the Hornsby family tries their best to get control over the company and make it their one-way ticket to being extremely rich. The show promises petty fights and bickering between the family members while trying to emerge as the winner.
With basically no talent or even knowledge of running a brand this big, each family member struggles to get control to bring chaos and confusion to our screens.
Royal Crackers Episode 3: Plotline
Royal Crackers was, at some point, the king of snack making, but in the present, it does not even hold a candle to other, actually popular snack brands. With the company slowly losing its hold in the market, Theodore Hornsby Sr. decides that it would be the perfect time for him to get some sleep. So while he is in a coma, the family or the hyenas try their best to get a taste of the top position.
The family has no talent or even a slight idea of how to run an organization. They devise silly marketing and campaigning ideas to make a dent in today’s world of crackers, but nothing seems to work. The show follows their struggles, followed by many failures, and the diligence with which they hold on to their will to get to the top of the hierarchy.
Episode three of the show is titled “Factory 37,” where a stuck-up health inspector is set to visit the factory for its overdue inspection. The family comes together to try their best to make the factory seem passable in health terms. Will they succeed in doing so? Catch the episode to find out.
