Rockstar Reportedly Tells GTA 6 Actors They Cannot Reveal Their Roles Until November 19 Launch

Rockstar Games is reportedly maintaining strict secrecy around the Grand Theft Auto 6 cast, with actors allegedly reminded that they cannot publicly confirm their involvement until the game’s November 19, 2026 release.

The information comes from James Jarvis, host of the GTA VI O’Clock podcast, who discussed what he described as exclusive information about the game’s actor NDAs during the September 16 episode. According to Jarvis, Rockstar recently sent performers a reminder stating:

“We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.”

The report has not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. GTAVice.net also notes that it is unclear whether Jarvis personally received the reported message, saw a copy of it, or obtained its wording through another source.

Jason And Lucia’s Actors May Remain Unconfirmed

If the report is accurate, Rockstar may not officially identify the performers behind major characters such as Jason and Lucia before launch. Jarvis suggested that this could also mean fans should not expect a pre-release trailer, announcement, or feature specifically introducing the actors behind the game’s protagonists.

The timing is particularly interesting because actor Stephen Root recently confirmed his involvement in GTA 6, reportedly playing Brian Heder. His revelation appears to have been made despite Rockstar’s reported preference for keeping the cast secret until release.

Rockstar has historically maintained an unusually tight grip on information surrounding its major releases, and the reported NDA deadline would extend that secrecy right up to launch day.

For fans trying to identify Jason and Lucia’s performers, however, the situation remains unchanged: speculation may continue, but official confirmation could still be several weeks away.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
