Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is getting a physical release on Nintendo Switch 2, giving collectors another opportunity to own Lara Croft’s Siberian adventure on a physical Game Card. Limited Run Games and Aspyr have announced Standard and Collector’s Editions, with pre-orders scheduled to open October 9, 2026.

The physical release follows the game’s digital launch on Switch 2 in June. Unlike releases that package a download code inside a box, Limited Run Games confirms that this version includes a physical Game Card. The release is also region-free, according to Limited Run Games.

TWO PHYSICAL EDITIONS ARE COMING

The Standard Edition contains the physical game, while the Collector’s Edition adds several items aimed at Tomb Raider fans. The more expensive package includes a steelcase, Trinity patch, and a light-up replica of the Divine Source, an important artifact from Lara’s adventure.

Pre-orders will remain open until November 15, 2026, according to Limited Run Games’ current product listing. The company describes the release as an open pre-order rather than a purchase with a fixed stock limit.

The Switch 2 version is based on Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, meaning buyers receive substantially more than the original campaign. The package includes the Season Pass content, including Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, Cold Darkness Awakened, Blood Ties, Lara’s Nightmare, Endurance Mode, and Co-op Endurance.

Additional extras include eight DLC outfits, seven DLC weapons, 35 Expansion Cards, Extreme Survivor difficulty, five classic Lara Croft skins, and the TR III Reimagined Antarctica outfit.

The game follows Lara as she travels through Siberia in search of the lost city of Kitezh and the Divine Source while facing Trinity forces and dangerous environmental challenges. Its arrival as a physical Switch 2 release gives fans who skipped the digital version a new way to add the second entry in the Survivor trilogy to their collection.

The Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration physical editions will open for pre-order on October 9 through Limited Run Games.
