Today, the Switch Online service welcomes two new additions, Extreme-G and Iggy’s Reckin’ Balls, expanding the total number of N64 games available in the west to 32.
Extreme-G is a fast-paced futuristic racing game that hit the N64 scene roughly a year before F-Zero X. Player’s command futuristic motorcycles, hurtling through high-speed races across various tracks.
On the other hand, Iggy’s Reckin’ Balls presents a unique blend of racing and platforming across its 100 stages. Players must ascend towering structures while racing against three other characters, aiming to reach the summit before their competitors.

The Future of Switch Online: Potential Throwback Titles and Emulation Improvements
This acquisition raises the prospect of additional Throwback-owned games making their way to Switch Online in the future, including potential releases like Extreme-G for N64 or Champions World Class Soccer for SNES.
The Expansion Pack tier of Switch Online debuted in October 2021 alongside a library of Nintendo 64 games. Initially, some players expressed frustration over emulation issues. However, ongoing updates have significantly improved emulation quality, addressing most major concerns.
While a standard Switch Online subscription offers access to NES, SNES, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color games, players can unlock Nintendo 64 titles, as well as Mega Drive/Genesis and Game Boy Advance games, by upgrading to the Switch Online Expansion Pack.
