Three Bold Siblings Episode 49 Review
Episode 49 showed So Rim reached Ji Hye’s dad, Mu Young’s home requested by her. There, she apologized to So Rim and also revealed the desire for her to become a family together. After talking to each other for a bit, So Rim showed a video of Nam Soo looking down on Tae Joo and cautioned her that he wasn’t as nice a person as she thought.
Hyung Jung informed Young Shik about Gap Boon’s health conditions and asked him to meet her just once for her sake. Meanwhile, Tae Joon did her best to assist Gap Boon with her health by aiding her in providing guitar lessons alongside her grandmother. Gap Boon also tried to convince Sang Joon to absolve Young Shik and Se Ran. But Sang Joon was deeply hurt because of them and how they deceived him.
Tae Joo persuaded Se Ran to visit Sang Joon’s recent drama, which he was producing, set. At the drama shoot, Sang Joon wondered what Young Shik must have thought while lying to Se Ran. He offered Se Ran a drama role in a cynical manner when she arrived on the set.
The character proposed to her was identical to what happened with Sang Joon in real life. He also said this role would be suitable for her. Se Ran was taken aback after hearing him and left the set.
Oh Hee Eun visited the curry restaurant, Haeng Bok, and faked her apologies. But then So Rim and Tae Joon arrived and saw her speaking to their parents. They both got enraged and started pulling each other’s hair. Mu Young reached there on time and contacted the cops. He then also suggested a business plan as to how to boost the sales of the restaurant.
Meantime, Ji Hye met Nam Soo and confessed that she was not Mu Young’s biological daughter, which angered him and rushed out of her. When he left the cafe, Ji Hye felt relieved. Nam Soo, after getting drunk, stopped by the curry restaurant. He blamed So Rim for not telling him about Ji Hye’s identity and pushed her. Mu Yeong saw this and punched him.
It was an enjoyable episode to start with. It reached the highest ratings, with each episode coming out. This episode showed how everyone was duped because of a misunderstanding and taking it out on each other.
It was satisfying to watch watching the nasty characters getting the treatment they deserved. Hee Eun received Karma in this episode, as she deserved it for everything she had done to everyone, especially her family. In addition, Nam Soo needed that much-deserving punch from Mu Young for dumping So Rim and acting like trash with Ji Hye.
Episode 49 also taught us that sometimes blood relationships are poignant, while non-blood relationships have proven to be more devoted and supportive.
It would be fascinating to see how the family members reacted or did when they found out Sang Joon got injured while saving Young Shik and what was Young Shik’s take on this.
The cast did a great job of portraying their respective characters. The chemistry between the main lead couple was ok-ok. But the chemistry between side couples was much better. The core of this series lies in the relationship between the supportive siblings and family members. You could say Im Joo Hwan was made for family dramas.
Sometimes, you will find the story way too confusing and stretched out. But there were enough amusing and enjoyable sequences to make it worth seeing.
Our Verdict
The plot was written convincingly; however, in the last episodes, the whole story was messed up. The camera work and soundtracks were both excellent. It’s a series that makes you feel you have seen this somewhere. Three Bold Siblings shows you firsthand insights into what people confront in regular life, their issues, and how relationships develop with each family member in different situations.
If there’s one line, to sum up this episode, it would be family isn’t just about being related to blood. It’s about supporting and covering for each other. That’s more important than blood. If you are into family drama, this television series is for you.
Our Rating: ⭐ (3.9/5).
