Revenant Episode 2: Recap
In the previous episode of Revenant, Yum Hae Sang investigates the death of Hyun Woo and tries to find out if he has a sibling. Gu San-Yeong, on the other hand, keeps seeing his ghost follow her and the bully everywhere. She keeps seeing him in the mirror and notices that Hyun Woo keeps pointing in a certain direction, so Gu San-Yeong follows him that way.
Meanwhile, Yum Ha Sang finds out that the parents of Hyun Woo seem to be hiding something as they act very suspiciously. After being sent away by them, Yum Hae Sang finds a window leading to the house’s basement and finds a small child inside. He tries to save Hyun Woo’s sister, but before he can get her attention, he is hit by the parents and held captive in the same room. After regaining consciousness, Hae Sang frees himself and the girl, but the parents know something’s up and try to stop him.
Gu San Yeong arrives just in time to save the child and call the police. Yum Hae Sang notices Hyun Woo’s ghost vanishing as he has now completed his wish. Gu Sang Yeong goes to a doctor for anxiety medication and finds out she could hallucinate due to lack of sleep and stress.
Yum Hae Sang visits Gu San Yeong’s home to ask about her past, and that’s when he finds out that she was left behind a red hair accessory by her father. Things seem to be getting weirder for Gu San Yeong once again when she wakes up from a possession to find herself creepily scraping a doll’s face. Filled with shock, she runs away only to see that her shadow doesn’t resemble her in the mirror. Yum Hae Sang finally sees the red hair accessory, but just as he gets ahold of it, Gu San Yeong arrives at the same house.
The demonic spirit that possessed Gu San Yeong kills her grandmother and lights the whole house on fire, erasing any evidence Yum Hae Sang could have gotten ahold of. After coming back to her senses, San Yeong calls 911, but it’s too late. The duo tries to figure out why Gu San Yeong’s father left the cursed object behind, knowing it would harm his daughter.
