Revenant is a mysterious horror K-drama by SBS. It premiered on 23rd June 2023 as a Friday-Saturday tv show. It has been topping the viewership rating chart since its release. Kim Tae Ri, Oh Jung Se, Hong Kyung and Kim Hae Sook play the main characters in Revenant.
The previous episode revealed the main mastermind behind the incidents. San Young and Hae Sang were locating all five cursed pieces from different places. There is a link between the witnesses and the evil spirit. Hae Sang’s grandmother is behind the death of Professor Gu, Hae Sang’s grandfather, father, and mother. San Young, Hae Sang, and Hong Sae planned to know the name of the girl who is the evil spirit.
Revenant revolves around Ku San Young and Yeom Hae Sang. San Young gets possessed by a demon from another world. She feels changes in her and people dying mysteriously around her. Hae Sang is a professor who can see evil spirits. He saw the evil spirit that killed his mother.
When Hae Sang comes across San Young, they encounter the same demonic entity. Lee Hong Sae is a detective who is investigating the mysterious death case. He gets involved with San Young and Hae Sang in uncovering the demon.
Revenant Episode Recap:
San Young saw the shadow of the ghost. When she said the name Mokdan, it disappeared. San Young’s mother, Kyeong Moon, came to her daughter in fear. She pleads with her mother to leave as it is dangerous.
Her mother was stunned to hear the precise words spoken by San Young’s father. In a state of shock, her mother fainted. Hae Sang keeps asking his grandmother, Byung Hee, about the dead child. Hae Sang challenges his grandmother that he will kill the evil spirit.
San Young informed her mother about her father’s vision impairment. According to her mother, Kim Chi Won met her father and gave him a bag and a camera. San Young and her mother went to her new cafe, but San Young’s vision was unclear, and she didn’t tell her mother about it.
San Young meets Hae Sang and tells him what she witnessed when she touched the cursed pieces. She wants to discover the remaining pieces to learn more about the evil spirit. The two places are related to Professor Gu. They have come to the last place, which is an abandoned restaurant.
Detective Hong Sae is doing a thorough investigation into the situation. He was going through the paperwork. He met Kang Sangmoon, the Chief Investigator. He told Jaewoo had red bruises on his wrist. Hae Sang’s father and grandfather died at an early age at the Sanae Hospital, which was seriously mysterious.
San Young had discovered another cursed object and was standing motionless. She requested water because she was dehydrated. San Young drank a large bottle by herself. She expressed that she was hungry and thirsty. They can destroy the evil spirit once they have discovered all five cursed things. The evil spirit is using Hae Sang to locate the objects.
Hong Sae told Hae Sang about the unusual things he uncovered about his father’s death. His grandmother killed the person who found her dark secret. Kim Choi Won told Hae Sang about the past. The Yeom family is wealthy because of the evil spirit.
Hong Sae came to Son Young to talk about the evil spirit. He discovered that Son Young was blind. Hong Sae hands over the life insurance contract she signed. She fails to recognize it. The evil spirit’s next target is Son Young’s mother.
