Resident Alien Season 2 Episode 8 Recap
When a sharpshooter who blinks like an alien kills David, General McCallister escapes after confronting David about his component of the alien survival kit. Harry places the sack with the strange egg in his bunker shortly after returning home to a surprise celebration. Asta does try to get rid of the house visitors after Harry tells her that an alien baby eats any high-calorie meal it can find after hatching, even people. Still, Harry kept the party going by promising desserts.
Harry checks on the egg in the cellar, and he discovers that it’d hatched and that the alien baby is gone. In the bathroom, D’Arcy helps Kate with a pregnancy test. Later, D’Arcy says she and Ben went rock climbing. Then, Mike reveals that she kissed Ben when Ben confesses to planning to establish a ski resort in Patience to increase tourism. Kate tells Ben that she is pregnant after getting angry with Ben for not telling her that he was with D’Arcy while she was away. Asta’s turning 18 soon, and Jay wants to celebrate with her.
Fleeing
Asta discovers the alien baby in the toilet. The alien baby fled out the window. As Nurse Ellen has trouble caring for them, Max and Sahar run to inform Harry that the authorities are seeking him. When they get to Harry’s residence, they see the alien infant devour a raccoon. Harry rushes outdoors to seek the baby alien after Asta tells him it went out the window. Then, Liv’s memories start to come back as she hears the infant chitter.
The alien baby establishes a psychic connection with Harry and shows him a vision of Goliath. Who tells him that their civilization does not seek to exterminate humans but rather desires to thwart the plans of another extraterrestrial species to take Earth. The psychic link is broken while the alien infant dives into the lake when a strange man who gave the previous Harry the instruction to murder Dr. Hodges shows up and shoots the actual Harry. Asta uses one of Harry’s guns to shoot the man.
