The chapter opens up with Kazuya going on a date with Chizuru. Even though this seems like a date, it isn’t one, as this is just a part of Chizuru’s research which means Kazuya has to act as a good escort, but he also needs to help his mother at the daycare center. Chizuru asked Kazuya if she could come along, and Kazuya agreed naturally. Kazuya and Chizuru get off the taxi and begin walking towards the daycare.
Kazuya asks Chizuru if she visits this place often, and she says that she usually visits once a month. Kazuya thinks that this was supposed to be a date with Chizuru, but now they are helping his mom instead. He wonders how Chizuru feels about this because she made time for this but ended up going along with him. Kazuya then notices how dazzling Chizuru looks in her outfit.
Kazuya explains every little thing about Chizuru’s outfit to the readers and how much he loves it (of course, he includes some perverted stuff, but we don’t talk about that). He snaps out of his daydreaming by reminding himself that this isn’t just a date, as Chizuru also has some research work. Chizuru continues speaking, but Kazuya doesn’t pay attention to it until she shouts at him.
Chizuru asks Kazuya how long he has been helping out at the daycare, as such work is truly commendable, according to her. Kazuya wonders if this scores him more points. He tells Chizuru that he has been doing this since elementary and he only did it because he liked playing with other kids, so he doesn’t think it’s commendable. He smiles and says that he just likes the children.
Chizuru and Kazuya then arrive at the Hibari center, and Chizuru notices that one of the shoe lockers has Kazuya’s name on it. They then enter the room where the kids are, and Chizuru gets overwhelmed by seeing so many kids.
All of the kids run towards Kazuya and start talking with him while Chizuru stands silently. Some kids notice her, and so she says hi to them. The kids suddenly become curious and ask Kazuya if she’s his girlfriend.
Kazuya tries to deny it, but the kids don’t listen. Suddenly Harumi arrives and greets Chizuru. She apologizes for ruining her time with Kazuya, but she says that they came only because she asked Kazuya to take her with him.
Chizuru apologizes to Harumi for visiting without telling her earlier, but Harumi says that it’s fine as they can use all the manpower they can get. She then gives Chizuru an apron so that she would look like a proper helper.
Chizuru agrees to put on the apron, and after she gets dressed, Kazuya nearly faints as she looks like an angel. All the kids also call her cute and beautiful while also saying that such cuteness is wasted on Kazuya. Kazuya gets mad at the kids, but then he thinks that it can’t be helped.
He then goes to wear his apron while Chizuru takes care of the kids. She soon feels overwhelmed as she doesn’t know what to do, but Kazuya comes in and saves the day as he’s a natural at this.
