In the previous chapter, the Emperor asked Navier to spare some time from her duties for a moment, and to come with him to “check something.” Navier Ellie Trovi agreed to this a bit confusingly and was looking forward to it.
It turns out that the Emperor remodeled Hyeris’s office into the Empress’s office, and it was even painted again with the Empress’s favorite color. When the Emperor asked Navier if she liked it or not, she replied that she loved it!
Later on, the Emperor saw the Navier seemed happy now and started asking her some light questions to start a small conversation and see if the usual cold and not-so-talkative Navier would open up, and she did; they both talked about childhood memories. While they were talking, their conversation was suddenly interrupted by the Prime Minister requesting the Majesties’ immediate attention.
Emperor took the Navier along to see what it was that required their attention, and it was a meeting held by nobles to talk about the war. The Nobels did not expect Navier to attend the meeting and sit along with the Emperor; while this came off as a shock to most of the people, someone people, including Navier’s close aids, were happy.
The meeting started, and the main topic was the Unyielding Springwater Bandits at the Frontier. It was very difficult for Imperial soldiers to catch them because the bandits knew the terrain and lands of the Springwater plains like the back of their hands.
