The Isekai tropes are faithfully followed in Reincarnated as a Sword as it explores the plot of its universe. As the episode begins, Fran goes full force into the dungeon without waiting for anyone. Along with her beloved sword Teacher, she is almost alone in pursuing goblins. Fran’s thirst for power is evident, and all she wants to do is fight more creatures to achieve her dreams.

The Teacher has been a very good mentor to her, reminding her not to overdo things and to watch out for herself. Despite only meeting a few days ago, the bond between these two only grows stronger and stronger as each episode passes.

He assists her fully, respects her wishes, and even protects her from threats. There were a lot of cool moves and potent magic in this episode, and Fran knocked out several goblins on her own, and Teacher destroyed the goblin’s lair with his destructive powers as well.

Despite being a character who should be invincible, Fran suffered a loss in this episode. But Fran persevered and tried to do the best she could when facing such a powerful opponent. The fight between Fran and the goblins and a shocking final boss that was higher than Fran’s current level were both in the fifth episode. Only in the upcoming episode will we see how their relationship develops.

In terms of plot, the anime did not develop much here, and it remains within the generic lane of an Isekai anime, but it remains entertaining nonetheless. It has a good background score, especially the battle music. However, the story so far is quite simple, with not a lot to offer. But the bond between the sword and the hero is quite endearing.
