As per the reports, the production team spent around 150 days filming Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire in various areas and cities of California.
The majority of the scenes were shot in Los Angeles County. The titular city served as the top location for filming of the movie. The cities of Cerritos and Santa Clarita are some other places that were converted into movie sets for filming.
The production crew also traveled outside LA County to some specific places in Inyo County. Some crucial scenes were shot in the city of Indio, located outside California Riverside County.

In a conversation with Tudum, Zack Snyder summarized his overall experience he said that while shooting the movie drop shops were landing in Veldt, which was a set they made in the mountains.
They were aware of the strong dust clouds made by the fans when they landed. So they used the fans to shoot, but they were not satisfied by the result produced. They got helicopters, made them descend low, and used the air force of the helicopter for the shoot.
He added, that all the crew and actors were they, and they got a warning that it would become a bit dusty. The helicopter comes in and blasts the air on everyone, and later it turns out to be great. It looked amazing and perfect.

For filming Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, the production team and crew went to England and camped in a few cities. They used the local places of the city and even London. Manchester was also used to film a few scenes.
