To start the episode, Reba McEntire invites Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé to visit the set of her new NBC show, Happy’s Place. This helps both shows get attention. Melissa Peterman also appears and steals the spotlight in her usual way. After this fun intro, the final night of Blind Auditions for Season 26 of The Voice kicks off.
With only a few spots left on each team, the coaches choose carefully. They want to complete their teams with a mix of strong voices. Snoop Dogg keeps the mood light by giving funny nicknames to the other coaches. He calls Gwen Stefani “Gwen Never Stephony” and jokes that Michael Bublé is “Michael Bubliar” because he “lies like a rug.”
Snoop also teases Reba McEntire, calling her “Reba MAGNETire,” saying she’s like a magnet and should retire. The crew even hangs a magnet with that name on the studio ceiling for extra fun. Everyone enjoys the playful energy!
Cozy Len’s Last Chance
Cozy Len, a 43-year-old barber shop owner and leader of a nine-piece party band, shares that this is his final shot at making it big in music. His performance of “I’ll Make Love To You” by Boyz II Men earns turns from Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. Michael Bublé doesn’t turn but jokes that he wishes his wife was there so they could make a fifth child. In the end, Cozy Len picks Gwen Stefani as his coach.
Jose Luis Joins Gwen’s Team
Gwen Stefani has only one spot left on her team and needs someone to connect deeply with the song’s lyrics. When a beautiful voice begins to sing in the dark, all four coaches turn their chairs. The voice belongs to Jose Luis, a singer from Puerto Rico. He shares his struggles with fitting into traditional ideas of masculinity and says music gave him a sense of purpose. Jose Luis dreams of being a pop star like Lady Gaga. Since Gwen Stefani is a pop star with a love for fashion like him, they connect instantly. Jose happily joins her team, making Gwen the first coach to complete her team in Season 26!
Cassidy Lee Returns
This season also brings back some familiar faces. Cassidy Lee, who first auditioned in Season 18, returns, saying she has grown since her last try. She now leads an all-female country rock band called The Annie Dukes and has even performed with ZZ Top. This time, Cassidy sings “You’re No Good” by Linda Ronstadt. The coaches are being cautious with their last choices, but Cassidy earns a chair turn and joins Michael Bublé’s team.
Aliyah Khaylyn’s Healing Music
Aliyah Khaylyn’s story shows the healing power of music. After losing her mother in 2021, she attended Berklee College of Music to study music therapy. She performs “Love and War” by Tamar Braxton, moving the judges with her emotion. Reba McEntire even stands up during her song. Gwen Stefani regrets that her team is full, but she hints that she might steal Aliyah later. Aliyah joins Michael Bublé’s team, completing his roster for the season.
Katie O. Impresses
Katie O., an 18-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, loves nature and uses it to inspire her songwriting. She lost her father when she was 9 and feels that she was meant to sing in his memory. Wearing a fringed jacket, Katie performs “One Way Ticket (Because I Can)” by LeAnn Rimes, earning a turn from all four coaches. Snoop Dogg jokes that Katie sounds just like Reba McEntire. Katie picks Reba as her coach, excited to learn from the Queen of Country.
Mikaela Ayira Shines
At just 16, Mikaela Ayira is already writing her own songs. She performs part of her original song “Smoothie” in her audition package. For her main performance, she sings “Human” by Christina Perry, showing off her impressive vocal runs. Both Reba and Snoop are impressed by her voice. Snoop promises to help Mikaela reach new heights, and she chooses him as her coach.
The Final Two Spots
Only two spots remain—one for Reba McEntire and one for Snoop Dogg. Alison Elena, a Nashville native who works as a nanny, auditions with a clean country sound. Both Reba and Snoop turn for her, but Reba wins her over by comparing her to ‘80s country stars. Alison takes the final spot on Reba’s team.
Snoop has the last remaining slot for the season, and he is waiting for something special. Suede Lacy, a filmmaker and artist, takes the stage and performs “Redbone” by Childish Gambino. Snoop cheers him on, and Suede secures the final spot on Snoop Dogg’s team.
Some Artists Miss Out
Not everyone secures a spot this season. Sixteen-year-old Zaza Benjamin from the Bay Area performs “Hard Place” by H.E.R. The coaches praise her, but since there are so few spots left, they have to make tough choices, and Zaza does not make it.
Joe Martinez from Montana adds a modern touch to “Stuck in the Middle with You” by Stealers Wheel. Although Michael Bublé likes his style, Joe doesn’t make it onto a team either.
Laney Lynx also gives a strong audition but faces disappointment when none of the coaches have room left. All three of these artists receive compliments on their talent but miss out on a spot due to the limited spots left.
Next Up: The Battles!
With the Blind Auditions over, the next part of the competition begins—the Battles! In this round, the singers compete head-to-head, and the coaches have to make even harder decisions. However, they can still steal strong singers from other teams, adding more strategy to the game. It’s going to be an exciting round as the contestants fight to stay in the competition.
The Blind Auditions of The Voice Season 26 have officially come to an end, with all teams now complete. While some talented artists made the cut, others narrowly missed their chance. As the competition moves forward to the Battles, the excitement builds, and viewers can expect even more thrilling performances and strategic decisions from the coaches.
