Dalgonyak’s webtoon “Pyramid Game” is set to be adapted into a 10-episode drama featuring Bona, known for her role in “Joseon Attorney.” Bona portrays Sung Soo-Ji, a student who transfers to Sarang High School in Seoul, beginning in Grade 2, Class 5, hoping to find friends and belong. However, during a monthly event known as Pyramid Game, things take an unexpected turn.
It’s kind of like a popularity contest, but if you get the fewest votes, you’re in trouble. Sung Soo-Ji gets zero votes, and suddenly, everyone starts teasing her. Even though she asks for help, nobody seems to care, and she feels really lonely.
Being bullied at school makes Sung Soo-Ji feel awful. Every day, her classmates make fun of her, and she doesn’t know what to do. She feels stuck and doesn’t see a way out. It’s tough for her to stay strong when nobody supports her.
Despite feeling scared and lonely, Sung Soo-Ji decides she has to do something about the Pyramid Game and the bullying. She doesn’t want to keep suffering or let it happen to anyone else.
Soon enough, Soo-Ji gathers courage and tries to find a way to change things. Even though it’s hard, Sung Soo-Ji believes she can make a difference and remove the awful system her new school operates on.
