Prime Video Renews Sterling Point for Season 2 After No. 1 Global Debut

Annie and the young characters of Sterling Point face new relationships and emotional challenges in the Muskoka-set drama.

Prime Video has officially renewed Sterling Point for Season 2 following the strong response to its first season. The drama, created and executive produced by Megan Park, premiered its eight-episode first season on August 5, 2026, quickly becoming a No. 1 global debut for the streaming service this summer.

Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, although a release date has not yet been announced. The renewal brings viewers back to the Muskoka setting and promises to continue the stories surrounding Annie, Ramona, and the rest of the characters.

Season 1 follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson, who was raised in New York City with her twin brother and loving adoptive father. Her life changes after she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada, leading her into a world of new friendships, romance, and long-buried family secrets.

Sterling Point Season 2 Will Dive Deeper Into Its Characters

Park said the audience response has been especially rewarding for the creative team.

she said, adding that the team worked hard to make the series feel authentic.

“We cannot wait to dive deeper into these characters and deliver the best second season ever!”

Annie and Ramona stand on the lakeside island at the center of Sterling Point, the Prime Video drama renewed for Season 2.

Co-showrunners and executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Fake Empire, alongside LuckyChap executive producers Tom Ackerley and Dani Gorin, also expressed excitement about returning to Muskoka.

“We can’t wait to be back in Muskoka and for everyone to see what we have in store for Annie, Ramona and the rest of the crew for Season Two,”

they said.

Amazon MGM Studios’ Peter Friedlander praised the series’ success, saying Sterling Point

has captivated millions of viewers around the world.”

He added that the creative team had crafted something special, supported by strong performances from the ensemble cast.

Ella Rubin and Amélie Hoeferle Lead the Returning Story

Season 1 featured Ella Rubin as Annie and Amélie Hoeferle as Ramona, alongside Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Bo Bragason, Keen Ruffalo, Jay Duplass, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Mabel Strachan, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, and Missi Pyle.

Created, directed, and executive produced by Park, Sterling Point is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Fake Empire, and LuckyChap. As of August 20, the series also held a 90% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, further strengthening its early reception.

Season 2 now gives Sterling Point the chance to expand its story of family, identity, romance, and the secrets surrounding Annie’s life on the island.
