A six-vehicle collision occurred on Saturday in Dallas, Texas, prompting a police search for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice. The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. local time, involving a vehicle believed to be registered or leased to Rice.
According to Dallas police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman, initial findings suggest that a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were traveling at high speeds in the far left lane when both drivers lost control. Subsequently, the Lamborghini veered onto the shoulder and collided with the center median wall, triggering a chain reaction involving four other vehicles.
While it remains unclear if Rice was present at the scene, police records from The News identify Rice as the suspected driver of the Corvette involved in the crash. Authorities are currently seeking the 23-year-old in connection with the incident, though it is uncertain if he will face charges. As of Sunday morning, Rice’s name did not appear in Dallas County jail records.
Two individuals received medical attention for minor injuries at the crash site, while two others were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Notably, both the occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette fled the scene of the accident without stopping to provide information or check on the well-being of the other individuals involved.
Rice, who hails from the Fort Worth area in Texas and attended college at SMU in Dallas, was selected by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
