Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet players will have plenty of Water-type Pokémon to hunt over the coming weeks as The Pokémon Company has announced a new in-game event packed with special Tera Raid Battles and rare mass outbreaks.

Running from July 16 through August 6, 2026, the event introduces exclusive encounters across Paldea, Kitakami, and the Terarium at Blueberry Academy, giving Trainers new opportunities to collect Pokémon with unique Marks.

The event was officially announced by The Pokémon Company on the Pokémon News website.

The biggest attraction is a 7-star Tera Raid Battle featuring a Dragon-Tera Type Magikarp carrying the Mightiest Mark. As with previous seven-star raids, players can expect a challenging battle despite Magikarp’s usual reputation as one of the franchise’s weakest Pokémon.

The event also introduces several mass outbreaks with Pokémon that feature exclusive Marks and Titles. Around Casseroya Lake, Trainers can encounter Dondozo, all three forms of Tatsugiri, and Veluza with special Marks.

Across the wider regions, Psyduck and Slowpoke will appear in Paldea, while Feebas and White-Striped Basculin can be found in Kitakami. At Blueberry Academy, Trainers will have the opportunity to catch a Lapras with the Intellectual Mark.

Players will need to install the latest game update and download the newest Poké Portal News to access these event outbreaks. With exclusive Marks, rare Pokémon, and a unique Dragon-Tera Magikarp raid, the limited-time event offers plenty of reasons for Trainers to return to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet before it ends in early August.
