Pokémon Pokopia has surpassed 5 million copies sold worldwide, marking a major milestone for the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive just over four months after its launch. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company confirmed that the figure combines physical and digital sales since the game’s release on March 5, 2026.
The latest milestone builds on a remarkably strong launch for Pokémon Pokopia. The game sold more than 2.2 million copies in its first four days, according to an earlier announcement from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company.
Pokémon Pokopia offers a life-simulation experience centered on Ditto, who uses transformation abilities and crafting skills to rebuild a deserted world. Players can gather resources, create furniture, develop habitats and work alongside Pokémon while transforming the terrain into a cozy community. Nintendo’s official game page confirms that the title is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.
The game’s post-launch support is also expanding. A free update introduced the Dive move, allowing Ditto to explore underwater areas, while the first paid Expansion Pass content, Bubbly Basin, adds an underwater town, new Pokémon, furniture, and additional customization options.
The Expansion Pass is planned as a three-part release. Nintendo says the second installment is scheduled for late 2026, while the third part is planned for 2027.
Pokémon Pokopia is currently available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, giving the system another strong-selling first-party release during its first year.
