A new report suggests Pokémon Pokopia’s upcoming Bubbly Basin DLC may launch much earlier than fans expected. Although Nintendo and The Pokémon Company previously confirmed only an August 2026 release window, multiple insiders now claim the expansion is scheduled to arrive on August 5, 2026.

The reported launch date was first shared by Pokémon leakers and circulated on social media before being covered by gaming outlets. However, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have not officially confirmed the date, meaning players should treat the information as a rumor until an announcement is made.

Rumored release points to an early August launch

According to reports, the Bubbly Basin expansion could become available on Wednesday, August 5, just over a week after the leak surfaced. If accurate, an official announcement is likely to follow soon, as release dates often appear early through promotional or retail marketing materials.

While Pokémon leaks have historically proven reliable on several occasions, there have also been inaccurate reports in the past. Until Nintendo confirms the schedule, the rumored release date remains speculative.

When it launches, the paid DLC will introduce Bubbly Basin, a fully customizable underwater town where players can build structures, decorate their surroundings, and expand the area through various development activities. The expansion will also add new Pokémon, including Mudkip, Popplio, and Corphish, alongside fresh furniture items, underwater gardening mechanics, and new outfits for Ditto.

Players won’t need to purchase the DLC to obtain the Dive move. Nintendo has confirmed Dive will be distributed through a free update. To enter Bubbly Basin, players must first unlock Dive and complete the “Raise the environment level!” request at Bleak Beach, which opens the underwater gate leading to the new area.

With the expansion already targeting an August release, fans may not have to wait long before Nintendo confirms whether the rumored August 5 launch date is accurate.
